In this fourth episode of inkytalk, we take a look at the definition of national consultation and how it can be used as a tool for direct citizen participation. Throughout this discussion, our guests reflect on the lack of methodology in the elaboration of this consultation, leading to a critical reading of its results.

We also take an overarching look at the process adopted by Kais Saied, and his ambition to adapt this consultation to his political project. This consequently raises a real issue of legitimacy in the face of a participation rate that is deemed insufficient to decide on a fundamental change of the political system through the amendment of the Constitution.

Inkyfada Podcast is the first platform entirely dedicated to original Tunisian podcasts, and was conceived by Inkyfada media in collaboration with the in-house research and development laboratory, InkyLab.
